Have you tried using konjac sponges yet? I have some sponges from La Lune Naturals to show you today. These little environmentally friendly sponges are pretty awesome. But, what are they?!
Konjac sponges are a natural sponge. They are made from fibers of the konjac aka konnyaku root. Ever eaten shirataki noodles? Same plant! (DON’T EAT KONJAC SPONGES!) Konjac sponges are super soft and gentle to your skin. They help clear out your pores, and exfoliate gently. Konjac sponges are alkaline ph so they help balance your skin’s pH. Plus your skin gets recharged with nutrients found in the sponge. They may look weird but these sponges are amazing!!
Konjac sponges can have added ingredients to further benefit your skin. I have used the standard konjac sponge as well as sponges with activated bamboo charcoal in them. The charcoal is great at helping to absorb excess oils and pull out impurities in the skin.
The La Lune Naturals 2 pack of konjac sponges comes with a suction hook that you can hang your konjac sponges on. There was also a coupon inside for $2 a future purchase!!!
Konjac sponges are:
- Natural, free of chemicals, parabens, sulphates
- Eco-friendly, sustainable, biodegradable, no batteries needed
- Affordable and reusable up to 4 months
There is a small size difference between the 2 varieties. The charcoal sponge is thicker while the white is wider. Both types are incredibly soft on your skin!
The konjac sponges will need to be soaked before use to soften them up. I had attempted to use a konjac sponge from another company a while ago. That sponge didn’t come with any info on best ways to use it or how to care for the sponge. Sadly, I did not realize how great the konjac sponges are. The La Lune Naturals konjac sponges come with a free e-book! I received the e-book right after my order processed. The e-books are not just about konjac sponges either, there’s a natural skin care guide with skincare tips, mask recipes, and more!
Get out there and EXFOLIATE!!
Have you tried these cute little sponges? How about shirataki? Maybe you won’t see it the same way now that you know…. ^_-
