Scentbird Perfume subscription is a newer subscription available on the scene. I think it is a great idea too! Smelling great shouldn’t be a huge commitment in my opinion!!!
I don’t know about you but I hate feeling bound to a particular fragrance. Quality blends that appeal to my sense of smell are usually pretty pricey. Sadly, I have an over sensitive olfactory system. Also, I’m prone to migraines which can be triggered by scent. And I really like to smell good. I WANT IT ALL!!! ^_^
With Scentbird, I can try out a 30 day supply of a fragrance that interests me. Since the subscription is only $14.95 a month, I am not bound to regret my purchase. I have quite a few abandoned perfumes lying around. I’m sure I’ll use them one day. Maybe to scent my linen drawer?
Despite having a strong sense of smell, I am clueless when it comes to picking out a particular scent or “note” from a fragrance. I know what I like, I just don’t know exactly what it is. I really like that Scentbird helped me find something new based on the fragrances that appeal to me. There is a quiz on the site that helps you get started. I figured out of the 350+ perfumes available on the site there would be something I would match with!!
I went with Haute Couture Hanae Mori for my first try. It came up as one of my choices after the quiz. This fragrance has notes of jasmine, tuberose, lily of the valley, iris, narcissus, gardenia, coriander, bergamot, sandalwood, precious woods according to hanaemoriparfums.com. After I chose the scent, I read some reviews online. I was a little nervous since a lot of reviews said that it was a REALLY strong scent.
My package arrived safe and sound. It was cradled in a padded envelope with a velvety bag holding the vial.
The Scentbird vial is meant to be carried in your purse. Well, if you want. I really like that the container is sleek and modern. Plus it has the little pouch to further protect your perfume.
The spray nozzle is cleverly hidden inside the container until you twist and pop it up. I love the little bird on it.
Hanae Mori Haute Couture Eau de Parfum is $85 for a 1.7 oz/50 ml bottle. I’m glad I chose this scent, despite the reviews. I love it! It isn’t very strong or heavy. I’ve had no problems wearing it at all. Which goes to show that fragrance is definitely something you need to try for yourself!!!!
I’m excited to be able to try many more perfumes without breaking the bank or committing to a scent that may not even work for me. Scentbird seems like a fabulous option for me! I get to be “Scentventurous”….LOOOOOOL
